Remove all traces of makeup with a water based makeup remover. Oil based products can create a barrier to the adhesive and this will lessen the bond of the extension. Give your lashes a good wash with a foam cleanser or baby shampoo and rinse all soap out with water so they are perfectly clean.

  • After initial application avoid getting your extensions wet for 24hours. This will allow the glue to cure making the lashes last longer
  • Avoid rubbing or pulling at your extensions
  • To remove eye makeup use an oil free makeup remover and cotton buds
  • Wash your lashes gently with a foam cleanser or water regularly. It is important to keep your lashes clean so you don’t get a build up of natural skin oils and make up. This will also help your lashes last longer
  • Use your lash brush to keep your lashes in order
  • Never try to remove extensions yourself as you may damage or pull out your natural lash. A gentle gel remover can be used to remove lashes painlessly, quickly and easily

It is important to keep up your normal eye hygiene when you have extensions on. Cleaning your lashes can be incorporated when you are cleansing your face. So there is no additional time required to care for them. How to wash your lashes:

  1. Use cotton tips and an oil free make up to remove make up if required.
  2. Use an oil free foam face cleanser to gently massage into the root of your eyelashes using your ring finger moving them back and forth.
  3. Splash water until all soap is washed out of your lashes
  4. Pat dry with a towel – no rubbing. We naturally lose 5 plus eyelashes per day we just don’t notice them. If a few extensions fall out whilst cleansing don’t worry. It is better to have clean eyes and lashes. Extensions will last longer when they are clean anyway as there is no oil build up.

Can I use Mascara?
It is not necessary to use mascara as you can achieve the look you desire with the selection of lashes available. However if you can’t resist, water based mascaras can be used. It is best to only apply to the tips so they don’t stick together. Avoid waterproof mascara. We sell a mascara perfect for extensions.
Can I wear eyeliner?
Yes you can as long as they are oil free products. The best eyeliner for extensions is dark eye shadow as powder products do not disrupt the lash adhesive. By using a slant brush you can take it right down to the base line of your lashes. For a more dramatic look, use a gel liner just above the lash line, not quite touching the base of the lash.
Will it damage my natural lash?
When lashes are applied, cared for (please see our before, after care and maintenance) and removed correctly there should be no damage to your lashes. We have ladies that have had extensions for years with no problems. It is important to have lashes applied by a qualified technician.
Does the procedure hurt?
No, it is a painless procedure. You are lying down with your eyes closed listening to relaxing music. It is common for clients to fall asleep.
